Alcide E. Morin Obituary

Alcide E. MorinM, 83 of Main Street, West Warwick died on Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Kent Hospital. He was the husband of Maria D. (Furtado) Morin.
He was born in Coventry, a son of the late Adelard and Antonia (Magnum) Morin.
He had resided in Scituate most of his life and had been living in West Warwick since 2008. He was also a winter resident of Bradenton, Florida for over 25 years until 2012.
He was the owner-operator of Alcide Morin & Sons Construction Company for many years retiring in 1986. He was a past member of the Coventry planning board and a past member of the Pawtuxet Valley Rotary Club, the Kent County Jaycees, and of the Serrans. He was an avid golfer and hunter.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Richard J. Morin of West Warwick and Daniel E. Morin of Coventry; two grandchildren, Daniel S. Morin and Lindsay A. Morin; and three great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Ernest Morin.
A Memorial Mass to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 4 pm in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 60 Pleasant Street, West Warwick.
