Captain Jim J. McWilliams, of Wakefield, passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the age of 53. He was the beloved husband of Sarah B. (Murray) McWilliams for twenty-two years.
Born in Bronxville, NY, he was a son of the late James and Jacqueline (Gisiger) McWilliams.
Jim loved fishing and was a licensed 100-Ton Captain; and co-owner of the Charter Persuader II out of Point Judith. He was a member of the Charter Boat Captain’s Association.
A devoted husband and father, Jim enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his three cherished children, Kathleen, James and Jessie all at home; a brother, Mark McWilliams of CT; a sister, Margaret O’Neal of CT; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours Friday, June 23, 2017 from 11am-1pm in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the McWilliams Children Education Fund will be appreciated.
