Carlton H. Bliss, Jr., 90, of North Kingstown, passed away on July 3, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (Howard) Bliss for sixty-eight years.
Born in North Attleboro, MA, he was a son of the late Carlton H. Bliss and Mabel (Reynolds) Sheldon.
Mr. Bliss was a US Navy Veteran serving in WWII on the aircraft carrier the USS Antietam.
He worked for Kraft Foods for thirty-six years, retiring as a sales supervisor.
He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW Post 152; he was also a member of the Food Services Association. He was a Past President and member of the Greenwich Club.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, David H. Bliss and his wife Janet of North Kingstown and Jeffrey S. Bliss and his wife Claudia of West Warwick; two brothers, Bruce Bliss and his wife Phebe and Robert Bliss and his wife Prudence all of North Attleboro, MA; a sister-in-law, Patricia Palumbo and her husband Michael of Charlestown; four grandchildren, Erin Condit, Ryann Lyons, Alison Bliss and Kelli Bliss; and two great-grandchildren, Anthony and Isabella Bliss. He was the brother of the late Donald Bliss.
His funeral and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Bernard Church will be appreciated.
