Swanson, Constance N., RN, 80, of Warwick passed away Monday, May 1, 2017. She was the former wife of late Stanley F. Cirella, Sr. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Mildred (Bucklin) Swanson; sister of Kenneth Swanson and the late Russell Swanson and Virginia Durham. She leaves behind three children, Stephen M Cirella Sr., and his wife Lori, Carlene F. Gadoury and her husband Ronald and Stanley F. Cirella, Jr. and his wife Tara; 8 beautiful grandchildren, Eric, Rachael, Stephen Jr. Cirella, Bryan Ray and his wife Jen, Gianna and Cassandra Cirella; step grandmother of Brandon and Mikayla Gadoury; great grandmother of Brody Edward Xavier. Connie was employed at the Eleanor Slater Hospital for 25 years as a Nurse Care Coordinator specializing in Oncology before retiring in 1999. She was educated at URI Extension, CCRI and Providence College. She was a daughter of the "American Revolution." Connie enjoyed gardening, cooking, oil & water painting, loved writing poetry & was published in the "International Library of Poetry." Besides her children & grandchildren, her love and comfort was her two Bichon Frise pups, Rocky and Ruby. Constance was blessed with nieces and nephews whom she loved, Dr. Patricia Durham, Taylor and her husband Joseph and their children Rosleigh and Hallie, Dr. Roberta Durham and her husband Douglas, Virginia Durham, Macalpine and her husband Dirk; devoted brother in law, Raymond Durham.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 9 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane, Warwick. Burial will be private. Visiting hours, Monday, 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to St. Kevin School, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick, RI 02889, will be appreciated.
