Donald V. LaChapelle, 72, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020. He was the husband of the late Ada F. (Wheeler) LaChapelle. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Victor and Rhea (Fortin) LaChapelle. Mr. LaChapelle was the owner/consultant for his family trucking company, Donada, Inc. for 35 years. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and lived in the Oakland section of Burrillville for over 20 years. Mr. LaChapelle was a member of the American Motorcycle Association and the Advanced Self Defense and Ronin Krav Maga.
He was the father of Michael A. LaChapelle and his wife Maureen of Seekonk, MA and Christine A. Torrence and her husband Philip of Plainfield, CT. He was the brother of Annette Harriman, Yvonne Morretti, Karen Reilly, Louise Cartier, David LaChapelle, Paul LaChapelle, Edward LaChapelle and George LaChapelle.
His Funeral and Inurnment with Military Honors will be held at a later date when the COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.
