Ella M. Fish Obituary

Fish, Ella M. (Swanson), 89, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018 in Smithfield, RI. She was the loving wife for 67 years to Earle C. Fish. Ella was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Herman and Nancy (Redlund) Swanson and had been a lifelong resident of Warwick. She worked in a financial capacity for the Winde-McCormick Company of Warwick for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Pilgrim Lutheran Church of Warwick where she served on the Altar Guild for many years. Ella along with her husband were strong advocates for their daughter during her lifetime.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Thomas E. Fish (Holly) of Greenland, NH, Ronald E. Fish (Beth) of Warwick, RI; and grandchildren Ryan, Michael, Kristina, Cheryl, Eric, Catherine, and three great-grandchildren. Ella was the mother of the late Diane E. Fish and sister of the late Roland Swanson.

Her funeral service will be held Monday, June 11, 2018 at 11 AM in the Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1817 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Visitation will be Sunday in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick 4-7 PM. Interment in the Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diane E. Fish Scholarship Fund, care of the Pilgrim Lutheran Church will be appreciated.
