Ellen M. Palmer Obituary

Ellen M. (O’Connell) Palmer, 84, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care in Providence. She was the wife of the late Robert U. Palmer, and a daughter of the late George and Catherine (Richards) O’Connell. Mrs. Palmer was formerly employed as a bank clerk for the Old Stone Bank and Citizens. She enjoyed quilting and embroidery. She is survived by her daughters and son, Ellen Holm, Patricia Gauthier, Timothy Palmer, Cynthia Kirby, Michele Palmer, and Robin Rich; sister of Colette M. Holmes; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Robert Palmer, and sister of the late Madeline O’Connell.

Her funeral will be held Monday, October 28, 2019 at 9 AM from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Church, Fair St., at 10 AM. Visiting hours Sunday, 3-7 PM. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Beacon Hospice, 1130 Ten Rod Road, Ste. A205, North Kingstown, RI 02852 will be appreciated.
