Colantonio, Francis, Sr.78, of Crystal Drive a retired computer programmer for the Civil Service in Newport died September 21, 2011 at RI Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Delores M. (Perry) Colantonio for 56 years and a son of the late Agostino Colantonio and Gertrude (DeNofa) DiDonato. Mr. Colantonio was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and served in the RI Air National Guard. He was the loving father of Francis Colantonio, Jr. and his wife, Patricia; Timothy Colantonio and his wife, Susan; and Marc Colantonio and his wife, Tracy; devoted grandfather of Lori-Anne, Michael, Deanna, Danielle and Patrick. He was the brother of Carolyn White, Marie Fournier, Peter DiDonato and the late Lucia Capeau.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane. Burial with military honors will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Sunday 3-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Heart Assoc., 1 State Street, Ste. 200, Providence, RI 02908 will be appreciated.
