Arnold, Harry W., 77, of Warwick and Naples, FL, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at home in Warwick. He was the beloved husband of Carol A. (Sullivan) Arnold, for 52 years, and a son of the late Glen and Edith (Johnson) Arnold. Mr. Arnold was a member of the US Navy from 1958-1982 and retired as Master Chief Petty Officer E9. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War; a member of the Fleet Reserve Branch #42, William Shield American Legion Post #43, and the Hardee Mills Post #135. Mr. Arnold was an avid Boston Red Sox and Patriots fan. He was the father of William G. Arnold, and the late Michael E. and Gregg J. Arnold; grandfather of Alexander W. Arnold; brother of Glenda Fortin, Lois Fradette, the late Thomas and Richard Arnold, and June Caporuscio.
His funeral will be held Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 10:30 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Clement Church, Long St., at 11 am. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Thursday 8:30-10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of RI, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904 will be appreciated.
