James H. Gray Obituary

Gray, James Henry, 66, died Saturday October 7, 2017. Born in Providence, he was the youngest son of the late Joseph Francis, Sr. and Hazel Lillian (Barnes) Gray. He had been a resident of Providence, Warwick and for the past 38 years, in Southern California. Jim had been employed by Boeing Co. for the past 15 years and retired as a program security officer. He graduated from Bishop Hendricken High School and the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor’s Degree. Jim will be remembered as witty, compassionate, and a giving man. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was the youngest and beloved brother of Joseph F. Gray, Jr. (his godfather), Rev. John W. Gray, Robert E. Gray, Charles H. Gray, Patricia E. (Gray) Pezzullo, and brother in law Michael C. Pezzullo. He had three nieces, Cheryl Ann Long, Susan Michelle Rhodes, Cathy Lynn Baker, and nephew and godson, Michael Christopher Pezzullo, and their children, Courtney Lynn Melton, Halina and Sophia Rhodes, Samantha, Rachel and Emma Baker, Maryna, Michael and Brendan Pezzullo.

A Visitation will be held Monday, October 16, 2017 from 9-10 am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by his brother, Rev. John W. Gray, at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 178 Dexter St. Providence at 11 am. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 959 Nooseneck Hill Road (Rt. 3), West Greenwich.
