Jean L. Ward (Carstairs) Obituary

Ward, Jean L. (Carstairs), 88, a retired secretary for the Coventry School Department, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at home. She was the wife of the late Frederick O. Ward for 54 years and a daughter of the late Alexander and Lillian M. (Lannon) Carstairs. Jean was the beloved mother of John L. Ward (Carolyn), Kathleen J. O’Grady (Stephen), Noreen A. Sheahan (Casey), and Christine M. Colardo (Robert). She is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Ann Quirk. She enjoyed a full life, attending daily Mass, volunteering, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 11am in St. Mary Church, 437 Carolina Back Road, Charlestown, RI. Burial will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Hope Hospice, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904, will be appreciated.
