Leah (Capuano) Palumbo, age 53, of Cranston, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 surrounded by her loving husband and family after a courageous battle with cancer. Leah was the beloved wife of Dr. Kevin S. Palumbo to whom she was married for twenty-six years. She was the devoted mother of her two adoring sons, K. Cole and Logan Palumbo.
Leah was a well-respected businesswoman in her community who was known for her vivacious spirit, generous heart, and honest nature. She always provided comfort and assistance to those who were struggling or in need. Her passion was demonstrated through her impeccable ability for design and attention to detail, transforming any space into a harmonious and tasteful utopia. Leah found great enjoyment and tranquility in gardening and exhibited these skills in her lovely home and its surroundings. She also took pleasure in spending time at her vacation home in Nantucket with those closest to her. Leah’s heart and focus could be found within her family.
A cherished wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend, she is survived by her father, Daniel A. Capuano, mother, Sherrie (Dexter) Capuano, sister, Dayna (Capuano) Dion and her husband, Stephen Dion. She was the devoted granddaughter of the late Louise and Anthony Capuano and the late Roy S. Dexter and Veronica C. Berg. Leah’s larger than life presence will be dearly missed by her aunt and uncle, Lois and Armando DiBiasio; mother and father in-law Richard Edward Palumbo and his wife, Carolyn, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
