Michael S. Gallo, 73, of Jamestown, passed away on March 22, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Barbara E. (Gladding) Gallo for forty-eight years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Silvia and Margaret (Corado) Gallo.
Mr. Gallo was a US Army and Air National Guard Veteran serving in the Vietnam War.
He and his wife were the proprietors of the Theater Family Restaurant in Jamestown for thirty-five years.
He served on the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department from 1973 until 2004 on Ladder 1. He served as Lieutenant of Ladder 1 from 1980-1983 and Captain from 1983-1986.
He enjoyed spending time in his yard and with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed collecting treasures at the "dump" with Brian and Harry.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two children, Debbie L. Gallo (Herbert Hovencamp) and Michael A. Gallo both of Jamestown; two grandchildren, Damion A. Rampe (Allyson) of Foster and Ariona Gallo of Jamestown; siblings, John Gallo (Patricia) of Pawtucket, Maryanne Couch (Kevin) of Ladson, SC, and Stephen Gallo (Jean) of Summerville, SC. He was the brother of the late Philip Gallo (Carol)
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in his memory to the Jamestown Fire Department will be appreciated.
