Nora J. Kenny Obituary

Kenny, Nora J. (Fitzgerald) RN, 87, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at home. She was the beloved wife of James J. Kenny and a daughter of the late David and Catherine (McGrath) Fitzgerald. Mrs. Kenny was a registered nurse and was employed at St. Joseph Hospital and Fruit Hill Daycare. She was a graduate of St. Mary School of Nursing in Waterbury, CT. Nora was the mother of Edward Kenny, Elaine Sischo, William, Michael and James Kenny; sister of Katherine Geloso and the late William Fitzgerald and Margaret Kellogg. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 9 am from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane at 10 am. Burial will be in R.I. Veterans’ Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to VNA Care NE Hospice, 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886 will be appreciated.
