Robert J. Donahue Obituary

Donahue, Robert J., 79, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Charles W. and Eva (Moon) Donahue, and the beloved husband of Joyce D. (Dean) Donahue for 54 years.

Robert worked as a truck driver for over 40 years. He began his career with the Calorie Express and later started his own business, Red Rock Transportation. Robert was also a member of the Teamsters Union, Local #251.

Robert was the loving father of Brenda Donahue Williams and her husband, Ray of California, Charles W. Donahue and his wife, Deborah, and Kimberly Donahue Bonn; grandfather of Shelby and Robert Donahue; and brother of Edward Donahue and his wife, Ann. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 4-6 PM with a memorial service to follow at 6 PM in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Robert J. Donahue Memorial Fund, c/o Bank RI, 2975 West Shore Road, Warwick, RI 02886, will be appreciated.
