Virginia E. Gardiner Obituary

Gardiner, Virginia E. (Shepard), 96, passed away November 29, 2016 at Brentwood Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Ray W. Gardiner and the daughter of the late Gordon and Ethel (Wallace) Shepard. Mrs. Gardiner was an office manager for the former W. J. Gardiner and Son's Oil Company. She was an avid bowler, boater, Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins fan. She is survived by three sons, Richard Gardiner, Stephen Gardiner, wife Mary Ellen, Wayne Gardiner, wife Maureen; one daughter, Wendy Seufert, husband Richard; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Gordon Shepard, Norma McCombs and Barbara Dyer.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 7PM, in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. Visitation Thursday 4-7PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Beacon Hospice, 1130 Ten Rod Road Suite C104 North Kingstown, RI 02852.
